Every invoice on eTIMS.
Every expense claimable.

KRA now checks your tax return against eTIMS. We connect your POS, ERP or billing system to eTIMS, so invoices go through automatically and your customers can claim them.

The problem

Since January, KRA
checks your return.

Income and expenses you declare are now validated against eTIMS, withholding tax and customs data.

Your return is checked against eTIMS.

Income or expenses that don’t match can mean queries, disallowed expenses and penalties.

Your customers need your invoices on eTIMS.

Without a valid e-invoice carrying their PIN, they can’t claim the expense, and you become the supplier they replace.

Typing invoices into a portal doesn’t scale.

If you already run a system, it should talk to KRA directly.

What we do

From “are we ready?”
to live on eTIMS.

Start with a readiness check. You get a clear route and a fixed quote before any build begins.

01

eTIMS Readiness Check

We review how you invoice today, tell you which eTIMS route fits, and give you a fixed quote. The fee is credited against your build.

02

System-to-system integration

Your billing, POS or ERP sends every invoice to eTIMS, through OSCU if you’re always online or VSCU if you invoice in bulk or offline. Delivered with a KRA-certified integration partner.

03

Expense Risk Scan

Before you file, we match your expenses against eTIMS purchase invoices, so you know what KRA may reject.

04

eTIMS-ready new systems

POS, e-commerce, booking or billing platforms with eTIMS and M-Pesa built in from day one.

How it works

Four steps.
No surprises.

Most of the timeline is KRA testing and approval, so starting early matters.

01 / CALL

A 30-minute call.

Your system, invoice volume and VAT status.

02 / REPORT

A written readiness report.

Within 3 working days: the route that fits, a dated plan and a fixed quote.

03 / BUILD

Build and test in the sandbox.

We build and test the integration in KRA’s eTIMS sandbox.

04 / GO LIVE

KRA approves. You go live.

We monitor the first month so every invoice lands.

Why Bridgetree

Payments, invoices and
KRA records that agree.

  • Built by Kevin Lagat, former Senior iOS Engineer on Safaricom’s M-PESA app, where he built secure payment modules and government service integrations.
  • eTIMS and M-Pesa in one system: payments, invoices and KRA records that agree.
  • You work directly with the engineer, not a sales team.
  • If KRA’s free tools are enough for you, we’ll say so.
Kevin Lagat, founder of Bridgetree Technologies

You work directly with Kevin Lagat, our founder. At Safaricom he built secure payment modules and government service integrations for the M-PESA app: systems that must never drop a transaction. More about Kevin

Questions about eTIMS integration
Do I need system-to-system integration?

If you invoice from your own POS, ERP or billing software, almost certainly. If you issue a handful of invoices and have no system, KRA’s free tools may be enough, and we’ll tell you so.

Is Bridgetree KRA-certified?

We are going through KRA certification. Until it’s issued, integrations are delivered with a KRA-certified partner, so your integration is fully approved.

How long does it take?

Most of the timeline is KRA testing and approval, not coding. You get a dated plan after the readiness check.

Can you work with QuickBooks, Odoo, Sage or our custom system?

Custom and open systems, yes. For off-the-shelf software, we first check whether the vendor already has an eTIMS connector. Sometimes that’s the cheaper route, and we’ll say so.

We already have an integrator, but it keeps failing.

Start with a readiness check and we’ll find what’s failing.

What’s the difference between OSCU and VSCU?

OSCU (Online Sales Control Unit) suits systems that are always online and send each invoice as it’s made. VSCU (Virtual Sales Control Unit) suits bulk invoicing or setups that aren’t always online. The readiness check tells you which fits.
