How to convert PDF to Word

1. Upload your PDF. Drag it onto the box or click to browse.
2. Click Convert to Word. The PDF is processed on our server with LibreOffice.
3. Download the .docx and edit it in Word, Google Docs or LibreOffice. All files are then deleted.

Good to know

• Works best on PDFs that were exported from a document — text, headings and simple tables come through editable.
• Multi-column layouts, heavy graphic design and forms may need a little tidying after conversion.
• Scanned PDFs convert as page images inside the Word file. Making a scan editable needs OCR, which this tool does not perform.

Yes. No account, no email, no watermark on the output.

How accurate is the layout?

For text-based PDFs it is close to the original and fully editable. Complex designs are recovered structurally but may shift slightly.

Do you keep my file?

No. The PDF you upload and the Word file produced are deleted from the server immediately after the download is prepared.

My PDF is a scan — why is the text not editable?

A scan is a picture of a page. Turning that back into editable text requires OCR (optical character recognition), which is a separate process this converter does not run.
